1. To promote Gloucestershire values and the interests of the County by supporting industry, commerce, sport, education and the arts, by demonstrating leadership and influence, and by encouraging debate.
2. To promote and reward excellence in the County.
3. To encourage charitable giving for the benefit of the County.
4. To maintain links with Gloucestershire units of our Armed Forces and cadets.
5. To maintain links with the voluntary and public services, universities, colleges and schools.

The promotion of any exclusively charitable purpose which, in the opinion of the Trustees, is beneficial to the community with a preference for the community in the County of Gloucestershire and the County of South Gloucestershire including: the advancement of education and training; the advancement of the arts, culture and heritage; the advancement of health and/or saving of lives; the advancement of amateur sport; the conservation and preservation of historic buildings and sites; and the prevention and/or relief of poverty.
